The Villas at Napasai

Frequently Asked Questions

As a foreigner, can I own a Villa?
Thai entities may own a Villa freehold. Foreigners may take out a renewable 30 year lease with an option to convert to freehold should laws change to permit this.

How can I purchase my Villa?
Please contact Charles Coleman at Orient-Express Hotels, Bangkok Office, directly on 66-2-2674881-7. Or by email at charles.coleman@orient-express.co.th

Are there commissions that are paid to other individuals that I should know about?
The price quoted to you by Orient-Express Hotels is the full and final price. You pay no commissions to any brokers or dealers.

Can I buy the product cheaper elsewhere?
No. All sales are channelled through Orient-Express Hotels.

Can I arrange travel bookings with you?
Our Concierge Service will be happy to help you make all the travel arrangements you require to get to and from your Villa.

Who are your competitors?
There are several housing developments on Koh Samui, but none created by an international development and operating group with Orient-Express Hotels' experience and reputation.

We are confident that a visit to our constructed Villas and adjoining resort, in conjunction with any visits you may wish to make to other “sold off-plan” or existing housing developments, will facilitate your decision.

Do the Villas cater for the disabled

A major feature of the Villas is that they are built along a seafront hillside. Prospective Owners are advised to check for themselves in situ whether or not the development is suitable for them.

Are children welcome?
Certainly. The Napasai resort  has many facilities to offer children too.

Can I take my pets?
Since there are no fences separating the Villas and some owners are not happy to have unknown animals enter their private area, pets can only be kept by arrangement with the managers.

Are there restaurants near the resort that I am visiting?
The Napasai resort incorporates several restaurants and bars, serving Thai, French and international dishes. There are also many restaurants in nearby Maenam and Bo Phut as well as in nearby hotels and of course in Chaweng which is only 15 minutes away by car.

What are the local places of interest?
The Big Buddha
Samui's most popular attraction, The Big Buddha sits 15 meters tall and was built in 1972 by the locals to give visitors a place to pay respect to The Lord Buddha. This monumental landmark is situated on the island's Northern shore.

Namuang Falls
Na Muang Waterfall is located 10 km south from Nathon at Ban Thurian. There are 2 waterfalls, one 18 metres high and one about 80 meters high. The waterfalls are the most scenic on the island.

Hin Ta - Hin Yai
Strangely shaped rocks at south Lamai, often referred to as the “male” and “female” rocks.  A local story tells of an old couple whose ship was wrecked in the bay. Their bodies were washed ashore to create the rocks.

Hin Lad Waterfall
Hin Lad Waterfall is located 2 km south of Nathon Town. It can be reached by a 3-4 kilometre walk down a country path. In an evergreen, rain forest setting with palms and creepers, the waterfall has several levels with a cool pool for a fresh water swim.

Ancient House
A house made of teakwood without any nails at Ban Thale is the oldest house on the island. It was built approximately 150 years ago, is constructed of teak planks and shows off many beautiful woodcarvings.

Butterfly Garden
Na Tian Butterfly Garden is situated at the bottom of the hill south of the island. Apart from the numerous species of butterflies on display, there are also other interesting features in the garden, including the bee house, a Thai style house that allows the visitor to observe the activities of bees, and the insect museum, where rare insects from Thailand and other countries are displayed.

Snake Farm
Shows featuring snakes indigenous to Samui as well as centipedes, scorpions and cock fighting shows.

Scuba Diving
There are many scuba diving schools located around Samui, offering a wide range of dive facilities. There are also tours available for snorkelling, fishing and excursions. Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Angthong Marine National Park boast numerous famous dive locations.

Nightlife
Koh Samui offers many restaurants, bars and places of entertainment, many of which are situated at Chaweng and Lamai beaches.
